Deep maroon flowers with dark brown center on long, slender stems. Velvet textured and chocolate scented.

Growing Notes:

Provide fertile, well-drained soil Blooming mid-summer through fall. Grows well in both containers and gardens. To overwinter- dig before the first hard frost, store potted indoors.

Harvest Notes:

To prolong flowering, harvest regularly, deadhead any spent flowers before they set seed.  Pick when buds show color or flowers are slightly open. 4 to 6 days vase life.
